The Studio Legale Duca was founded in 1997 in Venice, and right from the start focused on problems in the shipping field and, generally maritime and transport law. The offices are situated in Venice, which has always been a leading city in transport and trading in the Mediterranean area and its infrastructures, in particular the port, make it one of the most important European ports in transport to and from the East. As the amount of traffic has developed, greater assistance has been required in the relative legal problems, which is why the Studio Legale Duca decided to focus on these, to ensure that it is ready to provide all the necessary answers to the trade operators. The close collaboration with the Cà Foscari University of Venice has paid an enormous contribution to this over the years.
The Studio Legale Duca is run by a young and driving professional team, who are very attentive to the speed in which they respond, aware that this is of fundamental importance in legal assistance in the transport field. The Studio Legale Duca is cognisant in English and French and has a wide range of collaborators in the main Italian and European ports, to ensure the clients all receive the same high professional standard that is offered by the lawyers in Venice. Since 2010, the Studio Legale Duca has been working in close collaboration with Studio Legale Sardella in Milan, which is likewise specialised in maritime and transport law.
